W RLDWIDE NEWS Turck and Banner found Joint Venture in Malaysia Turck and Banner Engineering have founded an additional joint venture in Southeast Asia (SEA). After the regional headquarters in Singapore, Turck Banner Malaysia is the second joint venture in the region. Both partners agreed to cover specific markets in joint ventures as part of their internationalization strategy. On March, 2018, the business premises of the new company were officially opened in Petaling Jaya. The opening ceremony was introduced by Managing director Darren Chan. Turck and Banner Engineering have successfully worked together in Europe for many years with joint ventures in England, France and Italy. Turck is the regional sales partner for Banner products in many other regions. Interroll will deliver and install a record number of conveyor modules covering a total length of 12 km as well as eight Spiral Lifts destined for the customer’s distribution center located in South Korea. Interroll is fully committed to enable the customer’s go-live within an ambitious timeline by strengthening infrastructure capacities to cope with the upcoming peaks during the Korean mid-autumn festival and Christmas season. Completion of all installations is scheduled within 2018. www.interroll.com Major lithium-ion order: 19 Jungheinrich ETV 216i reach trucks for Seglo Logistics NEWS AND MARKETS The Mexican logistics service provider Seglo Logistics, a subsidiary of the Schnellecke Group with headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany, has ordered 19 reach trucks, the new type ETV 216i from Jungheinrich. This truck model is with a permanently installed lithium-ion battery as a standard feature. The order is part of a major contract covering a total of 118 lithium-ion trucks from Jungheinrich for Seglo Logistics. In addition to the reach trucks, the order includes 42 counterbalanced fork lift trucks types EFG 430 and EFG 220; 50 tow tractors type EZS 350; and 6 horizontal order pickers type ECE 225.
